Asian American Monument

This public art project was designed in reference to the landmark civil rights ruling from Territory v Yee Shun (1882) which affirmed the competency of Chinese Americans to testify in court and have their testimony accepted. My design charrette is composed of historical nods and moments that narrate a universal, upward movement of the enduring human spirit.

Studio

Bollinger Design is a modest Albuquerque-based studio, created by Matthew Bollinger shortly after receiving a graduate degree in architecture (M.Arch) from the University of New Mexico and a graduate degree in painting (M.F.A.) from San Francisco Art Institute. The studio has since been involved in the design and production of projects across almost every medium, including digitally fabricated architectural sculpture, interactive web development, and graphic design media.
